– Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
– Perform diagnostic procedures, including X-rays and laboratory tests
– Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
– Monitor patients during surgeries and recovery
– Provide post-operative care and follow-up instructions to pet owners
– Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
– Assist with grooming services, such as bathing and nail trimming
– Handle animal restraint during examinations and procedures
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the veterinary clinic
“`Qualifications“`
–Experience of 3 years or more working in small animal clinic.
-Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred
– Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal physiology, and veterinary critical care
– Experience working with small animals
– Proficient in animal restraint techniques for safe handling during procedures
– Familiarity with kennel operations and dog training methods is beneficial
– Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate pet owners effectively
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
– Experience placing IVC and administering IV medications and fluids
