Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care for animals while assisting veterinarians in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, animal restraint techniques, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
Assist veterinarians during examinations and surgical procedures.
Perform routine laboratory tests and analyze samples.
Administer medications and vaccinations as directed by the veterinarian.
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for each patient.
Utilize aseptic techniques during surgical procedures to ensure patient safety.
Restrain animals safely and effectively for examinations and treatments.
Provide support in dental procedures, including cleaning and assessments.
Assist with basic care tasks as needed.
Monitor animal behavior and health status, reporting any concerns to the veterinarian.
Maintain cleanliness of the clinic, including kennels and examination rooms.
Qualifications
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is essential.
Familiarity with X-ray equipment and laboratory testing is a plus.
Strong skills in animal restraint to ensure safety for both staff and animals.
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with pet owners and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
