At Smithtown village Animal Hospital , we are committed to providing top quality veterinary care to our community’s pets and their families. Our team is made up of dedicated professionals who share a passion for animal welfare. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our practice.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
Blood draws, administering medications, assisting with surgeries.
Assisting doctors with examinations and treatments
Monitoring patients during anesthesia and recovery
Maintaining accurate medical records and ensuring compliance with safety protocols
Managing Lab work, including blood, urine and fecal samples
Qualifications
– Must hold a current LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIAN (LVT) Certificate in New York.
-excellent communication skills both with clients and team members
– strong knowledge of animal health care practices and medical protocols
-Ability to work independently and with the team
-experience with radiology and laboratory testing equipment
