Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Veterinary Surgeon located in Jalgaon. The Veterinary Surgeon will be responsible for diagnosing and treating animal health issues, performing surgeries, and providing preventive care. The role involves working closely with animals, maintaining medical records, educating pet owners or animal caregivers, and monitoring the health and well-being of animals under the organization's care. Collaboration with the animal welfare team to develop health initiatives and ensure best practices will also be a key part of the role.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing, treating, and managing animal health conditions
- Skilled in performing surgical procedures and handling medical equipment
- Knowledge of preventive care measures and vaccination protocols
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact with team members and caregivers
- Ability to manage and maintain detailed medical records for animals
- Compassionate approach with a commitment to animal welfare
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine (DVM or equivalent) and valid licensing to practice
- Previous experience in animal welfare or non-profit organizations is an asset
