Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animal care and possess a strong desire to assist in providing top-notch veterinary services. License technicians are a plus!
Responsibilities
– Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures
– Handle and restrain animals during treatment
– Provide post-operative care and monitoring
– Perform laboratory procedures such as blood draws and urinalysis
– Administer medications under the direction of veterinarians
– Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinic and kennel areas
– Educate pet owners on proper animal care and medication administration
Skills
– Experience in cat and dog handling
– Proficiency in pet care, including husbandry and veterinary routine wellness
– Knowledge of animal anatomy
– Strong animal handling skills with a focus on patient comfort and safety
