Summary
We are seeking a Kennel Assistant to join our team at Kryder + Harr Veterinary Clinic. In this role, you will be responsible for the care and management of animals in our kennel, ensuring their comfort and well-being while supporting our veterinary staff in delivering high-quality medical services.
Responsibilities
Provide daily care for animals in the kennel, including feeding, cleaning, and exercising.
Monitor the health and behavior of animals, reporting any concerns to veterinary staff.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital to ensure a safe environment.
Support veterinary technicians during procedures by preparing equipment and handling animals safely.
Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ needs and well-being.
Requirements
Previous experience in animal care or veterinary settings is preferred but not required.
Strong understanding of pet care practices and animal behavior.
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients and team members.
Compassionate attitude towards animals with a commitment to their welfare.
