Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring a Part Time Veterinary Receptionist at our Louisville, KY location!

At Blue Pearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are crucial to the success of our hospital. In this position, you are the first Blue Pearl Associate that clients see. You will ensure each client receives the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately in emotionally challenging situations.
As a Veterinary Receptionist:
Greet clients warmly and make friendly eye contact upon entry to the hospital.
Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
Be a compassionate listener.
Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the phone to ensure clients understand.
Assess each client’s needs and the pet’s condition upon arrival.
Determine if an emergency is a “stat” or “standard” emergency.
Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
Confirm all appointments in advance and provide accurate information to clients about preparing their pets.
Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients compassionately and discreetly.
Serve as a liaison during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
