This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine your passion for animal care with exceptional customer service skills, supporting our mission to provide outstanding companion animal medicine.ResponsibilitiesGreet clients and their pets with enthusiasm, providing excellent customer service and ensuring a positive experience from arrival to departureManage appointment scheduling using veterinary software, coordinating care for multiple patients efficientlyCollect payments and process medical collections accurately while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with DEA and USDA regulationsHandle front desk duties including answering phones, responding to client inquiries, and managing veterinary administrative support tasksAssist with animal restraint, kennel management, and basic animal husbandry to support veterinary procedures and patient comfortSupport veterinary team members during medical-surgical procedures by preparing supplies, maintaining aseptic technique, and assisting with animal catheterization when neededMaintain detailed records of patient histories, laboratory results, and treatment plans in accordance with veterinary terminology standardsSkillsProven experience as a Veterinary Receptionist or in veterinary clinic administrative supportStrong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and medical-surgical proceduresExcellent client communication skills with the ability to explain pet care instructions clearly and compassionatelyProficiency in veterinary software systems and Microsoft Office applications for record keeping and correspondenceAbility to handle animals safely using proper restraint techniques; kennel experience is a plusKnowledge of drug enforcement regulations (DEA) and USDA regulations relevant to veterinary practiceExperience with laboratory procedures, medical collection processes, and laboratory equipment operationFamiliarity with dog handling, animal restraint techniques, and pet care best practicesBasic understanding of equine experience is advantageous but not requiredAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detailJoin our team where your skills will make a real difference in the lives of animals and their owners!
