Veterinary Receptionist/ Customer Service Representative Jobs in New Braunfels, TX at Animal Medical Center of New Braunfels
We are a 5 doctor, privately owned, full-service veterinary hospital in New Braunfels, looking to add one to two full time receptionists to our growing team. A part-time position may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
We are looking for a candidate with a long-term commitment goal, a fairly open schedule, and a desire to form relationships with our clients and their pets to help us provide the best care possible for them.
Receptionist hours are anywhere from 3 to 5 days a week, between 7 am and 6 pm Monday-Friday and 7:30 am and 12 pm on Saturday. Full time receptionists will be scheduled for between 32 and 40 hours per week.
Saturdays are on a rotating schedule (usually every other Saturday).
We try to be flexible and accommodate special scheduling needs, however, availability at 7 am at least 3 days a week is a must for surgery check-ins.
Required Skills include:
- A positive energy and team mentality are a must! A go-getting attitude and outgoing personality are a necessity!
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments with efficiency
- Able to navigate or quickly learn to navigate a veterinary software system (we use DaySmart Vetter)
- Handle and process payments for services; correctly build estimates and invoices for services
- Develop a knowledge of common products and protocols
- Develop a knowledge of boarding and grooming policies and procedures
- Basic pet-handling skills and ability to lift up to 50 pounds if needed
Applicants with veterinary reception experience will be interviewed first. Experience in a veterinary practice not required but highly recommended.
