We are pleased to be hiring a part time receptionist at our veterinary general practice! We are a small animal hospital in a charming setting on the banks of the DuPage River in Naperville, IL. We have educated clientele, a dedicated staff, and exceptional equipment (endoscopy, digital radiographs, ultrasound, in-house lab, and more). We have traditional hours (M-F 8-6, Sat 8a-12p) with no emergency hours; we are locally owned and have been at our location for 50 years! We would love to welcome you to our team! PART TIME POSITION INFO: Part time hours planned are Monday 7:45 AM to noon, Thursday noon to 6 PM, Friday 7:45 AM to 4:30-6 PM (1 -2hr lunch), and rotating Saturdays (typically two out of three Saturdays worked on a rotating schedule, 7:45 AM to ~noon). Total ~21-26 hrs/week. Additional hours can be obtained by filling in for other receptionists when they are on PTO & the schedule is subject to change.
Receptionists should be friendly, engaging, empathetic, knowledgeable about pet medicine, punctual, have a strong work ethic, be excellent at working as part of a team, and be very good at multitasking! Must be able to lift 40#, help restrain animals, and be aware that pets can carry zoonotic diseases (an inherent risk with veterinary medicine).

Responsibilities
Greet and assist clients upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Handle and restrain animals safely during examinations and treatments.
Maintain accurate patient records and manage payments.
Provide information on pet care and veterinary services to clients.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and clinic.
Collaborate with veterinary staff to support animal care and treatment.
