Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animals and strong communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Handle incoming calls, providing information about services and addressing client inquiries.
Process patient records, including updating medical histories and ensuring accurate documentation.
Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with basic animal handling as needed.
Administer medications as directed by veterinary staff when required.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Manage billing processes, including invoicing clients for services rendered.
Provide support in laboratory tasks or kennel duties when necessary.
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and behavior to assist with animal handling.
Skills in medication administration and animal restraint are highly desirable.
Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary care is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients.
Experience in veterinary critical care or as a veterinary assistant is an asset.
