Job Title: Veterinary Receptionist
Location: Pet Emergency Clinic, Spokane
Job Type: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour (dependent on experience)

Position Overview:
We are expanding our reception team and seeking enthusiastic candidates who share our passion for animal care. This role is pivotal in delivering high-quality customer service and support to our veterinary team and clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Admit and discharge patients, ensuring a smooth transition for both the animals and their owners.
Review discharge instructions and medications with clients to ensure understanding and compliance.
Assist veterinary doctors and support staff as needed.
Facilitate communication between clients and veterinary professionals.
Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the reception and exam areas.
Handle a high volume of incoming phone calls, addressing inquiries and scheduling appointments.
Balance daily ledgers and assist with financial transactions.
Fill prescriptions post-training and after obtaining a Veterinarian Medical Clerk License (Washington State).
Present estimates for services to clients.
Qualifications:
Required:
Dependable with reliable transportation.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Strong critical thinking and decision-making capabilities.
Ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
Motivated to learn new skills and demonstrate attention to detail.
Ability to multitask effectively.
Preferred:
1 year of veterinary or veterinary reception experience.
Experience in medical billing or medical reception.
Familiarity with medical terminology.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Work Schedule:
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential.
Shifts may vary from 8-hour to 10-hour shifts, with overtime as needed.
