Job Title: Veterinary Clinic ReceptionistLocation: Medford, OR
Job Type: Part-Time (Potential for Full-Time)
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, rotating weekdays and every Sunday
Remote Work: Occasional remote administrative tasks possible
Job Summary: Our Community spay/neuter clinic in Medford is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Receptionist to manage front desk operations. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, self-motivated, and comfortable handling both busy and slower days.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls, emails, and texts
Schedule and confirm appointments using clinic software
Greet clients and check in patients upon arrival
Notify clients when animals are ready for pick-up
Discharge patients and explain post-op instructions clearly
Process payments and reconcile the cash drawer at end of day
Prepare, scan, and file charts and medical documents
Assist with patient flow and communication with medical team
Support and guide volunteers helping with front desk duties
Help maintain an organized, clean, and professional front office
Occasionally assist with clinic updates or social media posts
Qualifications:
Minimum 1 year of experience in a veterinary clinic, animal shelter, or similar medical setting
Strong communication and customer service skills
Familiarity with veterinary terminology and appointment scheduling
Experience with practice management software (Clinic HQ is a plus)
High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to work independently and stay productive during slower shifts
Comfortable working Sundays and rotating weekday shifts
Preferred:
Experience supervising or working alongside volunteers
Background in spay/neuter or shelter medicine
Compensation: Pay is commensurate with experience. This position has the potential to become full-time based on clinic needs and performance.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
