Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and update information in the clinic management system.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with animal handling during examinations or treatments.
Provide information to clients about pet care, including preventive health measures and services offered.
Ensure cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room.
Collaborate with veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal care practices.
Familiarity with veterinary critical care procedures is a plus.
Skills in animal handling, including dog training techniques, are highly desirable.
Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
Proficient in using computer systems for scheduling and record management.
