About Us:
Furgent Care is a new veterinary urgent care practice providing evening and weekend services in Virginia Beach. Our goal, as a privately owned hospital, is to try and address the systemic problems in veterinary medicine that have led to the staffing shortages that are being seen across the country. We strive to create a healthy work environment with a focus on equitable compensation and continuing education for ALL team members such that we can provide consistent, high quality care to our patients while also supporting our staff.
Job Description:
We are currently seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Veterinary Receptionist. The Veterinary Receptionist plays a vital role in our clinic as the first point of contact for our clients and their pets.
Greet clients and their pets warmly and assist them with checking in/out.
Answer phone calls, walk-in clients and handle inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
Collect and record patient information accurately into our database.
Process payments, manage invoices, and handle financial transactions with accuracy.
Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including emailing, faxing, and maintaining records.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area, treatment rooms and lobby.
Requirements:
Previous experience in customer service or administration, preferably in a veterinary setting.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Proficiency in basic computer skills and experience with veterinary management software is a plus.
Genuine love and compassion for animals and their owners.
An interest in learning about veterinary medical conditions and assisting with triage of clients over the phone
