Full Job Description
Wheelersburg Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team! Our CSRs serve a vital role as the first and last point of contact with a client and their pet. As the face of the hospital, they greet visitors with warmth and compassion, fostering trust in the veterinary team, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
In this role, you will schedule and manage the flow of appointments, provide empathetic customer service while multi-tasking between a multi-line phone system and in-person clients, process financial transactions, answer inquiries, and provide essential information about the services we provide. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in fast-paced customer service, who are friendly and outgoing, detail-oriented, excellent at multi-tasking, and committed to contributing to a team-focused environment.
This is a full-time position, with 4-10’s, except on days when scheduled to work Saturdays. Then, it’s 3-10’s, a half day, and Saturday…not to exceed 40 hours

Minimum qualifications and skill set:
1+ years of client service experience
Previous veterinary experience is highly desired
Proficiency in the following skills:
Spelling and grammar
Basic typing/key boarding skills
Wheelersburg Animal Hospital is a multi-doctor, small animal practice located in southern Ohio, near the Kentucky border. We’ve proudly served Wheelersburg, OH, and the surrounding areas of Portsmouth, Ironton, and Greenup, KY, for years. Our DVM team has nearly 65 years of combined experience and we have a talented support team, including an RVT. From wellness exams and vaccines to advanced diagnostics, internal medicine, and complex surgical procedures, dogs and cats receive high quality care at our hospital.
