At Blue Pearl Pet Hospital, our Veterinary Receptionists are crucial to our hospital’s success. You will be the first Blue Pearl Associate that clients see, ensuring each client receives the care and attention they need. You must be able to function calmly and compassionately, especially in emotional and difficult situations for our clients.
Shift available
This position involves working Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Friday during daytime hours.
As a Veterinary Receptionist, you will:
Greet clients warmly and make friendly eye contact upon entry, offering professional acknowledgment.
Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and an approachable demeanor.
Be a compassionate listener.
Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and over the phone to ensure clients understand.
Assess each client’s needs and the pet’s condition upon arrival.
Determine whether an emergency is a “stat” or a “standard” emergency.
Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
Confirm all appointments in advance, providing accurate information on pet preparation.
Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients discreetly and compassionately.
Serve as a liaison during handling of pet remains, ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
