Veterinary Receptionist Jobs in Menifee, CA at Menifee Animal Hospital
Responsibilities: – Greet and welcome clients and their pets to the veterinary clinic – Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage the front desk – Collect and update client information, including medical history and insurance details – Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with animal restraint during examinations and procedures – Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and waiting room – Handle financial transactions, including processing payments and managing invoices Qualifications: – Previous experience working in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting is preferred – Knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures is a plus – Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and staff members – Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail – Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment – Proficiency in computer systems and software used in veterinary clinics Skills: Animal care: Understanding of general animal care practices, including feeding, exercise, and hygiene – Pet care: Knowledge of pet health maintenance, including vaccinations, parasite control, and nutrition – Veterinary: Familiarity with veterinary procedures, treatments, and medications – Animal restraint: Ability to safely handle animals during examinations or procedures – Animal handling: Experience in safely handling animals of various sizes and temperaments – Veterinary terminology: Knowledge of common veterinary terms used in medical records and conversations Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
