Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Duties
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinary staff with client communication regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Provide basic information on animal care, including vaccination schedules and dietary needs.
Experience
Ideal candidates will possess:
Knowledge of animal care practices, including animal husbandry and handling techniques.
Familiarity with veterinary terminology and animal anatomy to communicate effectively with pet owners and veterinary staff.
Experience in dog training or handling is a plus, enhancing your ability to assist clients with their pets’ needs.
Proficiency in aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures may be beneficial in supporting clinical operations.
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal-related environment is preferred but not required; we value a willingness to learn and grow in this field.
