Vision Vets For Pets is the premier independently owned and operated veterinary eye clinic in Knoxville, Tennessee, scheduled to open in Summer 2025. We are seeking a friendly and organized Receptionist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary ophthalmology clinic.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
· Greet clients and their pets warmly, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
· Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient records.
· Provide clients with information about our services, policies, and procedures.
· Assist with client check-in and check-out processes, including payment collection.
· Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
· Manage correspondence, including emails and phone messages, in a timely manner.
· Support the veterinary team by coordinating communication between clients and staff.
· Handle client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.

SPECIAL WORKING CONDITIONS
· Ability to be confident around pets (e.g., cats and dogs).
· Client needs and work volume may require more than 40 hours per week, including occasional evenings.
· The noise level in the work environment may occasionally be high (e.g., barking dogs).
· Requires the ability to multitask and manage various responsibilities simultaneously.
· Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and move throughout the clinic.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND/OR TRAINING
· Prior experience as a receptionist or in a customer service role preferred, but not essential.
· Basic knowledge of veterinary terminology and practices is a plus.
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
