Summary
We are seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team at Elyria Animal Hospital. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners, managing appointments and providing essential support to our veterinary staff. Your contributions will be vital in enhancing the overall experience for our clients and their beloved pets.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival at the hospital.
Manage appointment scheduling and patient records efficiently.
Assist in the intake process by gathering necessary information from pet owners.
Provide information about services, treatments, and procedures to clients.
Handle payments and manage invoicing efficiently.
Support veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed.
Answer multi-line phone inquiries while providing excellent customer service.
Maintain a clean and organized reception area.
Be able to work independently and follow directions.
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy.
Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Experience in front desk operations or customer service is a plus.
