Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. Your passion for animals and strong communication skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for clients and their pets.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a positive experience from the moment they enter the clinic.
Schedule appointments, manage the calendar, and handle patient check-ins and check-outs efficiently.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure that all necessary documentation is completed in a timely manner.
Process payments, manage medical collections, and assist with billing inquiries.
Answer phone calls and respond to client inquiries regarding services, procedures, and general animal care information.
Collaborate with veterinary staff to ensure seamless communication regarding patient needs and care instructions.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized reception area as well as other areas of the clinic as needed.
Requirements
Previous experience in a veterinary setting or similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and animal care practices is highly beneficial.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for interacting with clients and staff members.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
