As
a Receptionist, you will:
Receive and make calls to clients for scheduling appointments.
Prioritize multiple tasks in a calm, organized manner.
Maintain accurate documentation of client and pet records, including referral documentation and medical histories.
Assist clients by providing instructions, information, invoices, dispense prescriptions as directed by veterinarians, and schedule future appointments.
Use hospital computer systems to document medical records and communicate with clients and team members.
Manage hospital finances by accurately handling client transactions, following cash and credit procedures, and adhering to opening and closing protocols.
Provide excellent customer service and communicate professionally.
Advocate for pets through client education on preventative care, health needs, and hospital services.
Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions with clients, pets, and teammates.
Show empathy and treat pets with compassion and respect.
Utilize standard office equipment effectively.
Possess knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures.
Be flexible with scheduling, including some weekends and holidays.
Experience with veterinary software is preferred.
Work independently and accept guidance on tasks.
Demonstrate organizational skills and critical thinking.
Communicate effectively, exercise good judgment, and manage stressful situations.
