We are seeking a friendly, organised, and compassionate Receptionist to join our team. As a receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and professional service. This role is initially a temporary 3-month contract with the view to review at the end of this term.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborating with the team to ensure smooth clinic operations

Providing compassionate care and support to clients and their pets

Answering calls and emails

Carrying out administrative tasks and manage appointments

Maintaining accurate records using our IT systems (training provided)

Handling payments and client accounts

Cleaning reception and consult areas to high standards

We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and strong organisational abilities with a keen attention to detail. The ideal candidate should be able to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment. Proficiency in using veterinary software systems for scheduling and record-keeping is essential. While knowledge of basic veterinary terminology is preferred, full training will be provided for the right candidate.

About Us

We are a beautiful, light and airy, purpose-built SA practice in a small shopping centre located in Ashford. Situated less than an hour from London by train, near the interesting Kent coast and we offer a welcoming and VERY positive environment to work in.

We are well-equipped including in-house blood machine and digital X-ray machines. Our team is made up of 3 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 1 Student Veterinary Nurses and 1 Receptionist. Every member of our amazing team has an extremely positive attitude, and they make working at Eureka a pleasure. Our very experienced and organised Head Nurse, Anna, is an excellent leader of the rest of the team.

Your shift pattern

You will work 32 hours per week, Monday & Thursday 1:30 pm – 6:30 pm, Tuesday & Wednesday 8:15 am – 1:15 pm Fridays 8:30 am – 6:30 pm, with inclusion in the Saturday rota 8:30 am – 12:30 pm.
