We are seeking a dedicated Veterinary Receptionist to join our compassionate veterinary team. Duties
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, creating a welcoming environment
- Manage appointment scheduling and client records accurately
- Handle medical collections and process payments efficiently
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and provide information about services
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
- Support veterinary staff with animal restraint, handling, and basic animal care tasks as needed
- Prepare and update veterinary records using appropriate terminology
Skills
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques
- Ability to handle animals safely using proper restraint methods for various species including dogs, cats, and equines
- Excellent communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Previous veterinary medicine background is advantageous
- Capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate attitude towards animals and pet owners alike
