Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks in a fast-paced veterinary environment. This role requires a strong understanding of veterinary terminology and excellent communication skills to ensure a positive experience for both pets and their owners.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and update client information in the system.
Process payments and handle billing inquiries with professionalism.
Assist veterinary staff with basic administrative tasks as needed.
Provide information on pet care, vaccinations, and treatment plans to clients.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Skills
Strong knowledge of pet care practices and veterinary terminology.
Basic computer knowledge.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and team members.
Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
