Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our veterinary team. This vital role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing client communication, and ensuring smooth front desk operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for scheduling appointments, handling financial transactions, and assisting clients with medication pickups and inquiries. A strong familiarity with veterinary software and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision are essential to succeed in this position.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and visitors warmly, notifying veterinary technicians or assistants of their arrival.
- Manage front desk duties including answering phone calls, scheduling appointments according to hospital flow guidelines, and providing information about services and products.
- Assist clients with medication pickups and inquiries, ensuring they receive accurate information and support.
- Handle financial transactions such as collecting client fees, processing credit card charges, and handling cash responsibly.
- Reconcile cash drawer daily and perform end-of-day duties to ensure accurate financial records.
- Assist with opening and closing the facility with minimal supervision, maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing assigned tasks efficiently and supporting colleagues as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience in customer service, preferably in a veterinary or healthcare setting, but not required.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration.
- Proficiency with veterinary software or similar management systems.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision, including opening and closing procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling and financial reconciliation.
- Friendly demeanor with a professional attitude committed to providing outstanding client service.

Pay: $18.00 – $24.00 per hour
