Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets warmly, providing outstanding customer service and ensuring a positive experience from check-in to check-out
- Schedule appointments efficiently using veterinary software, coordinating with veterinary staff to optimize daily operations
- Maintain detailed records of patient histories, treatments, and laboratory results in compliance with veterinary standards
- Communicate effectively with clients about pet care instructions, upcoming appointments, and treatment plans
Requirements
- Proven experience in a veterinary clinic or animal care setting with knowledge of veterinary terminology and procedures
- Strong proficiency in veterinary software and Microsoft Office applications for administrative support
- Familiarity with medical collection processes, laboratory procedures, and aseptic techniques
- Experience handling dogs and other companion animals with confidence in animal restraint and training techniques
- Knowledge of animal anatomy, critical care practices, and surgery support procedures such as animal catheterization
- Ability to communicate clearly with clients regarding pet health concerns while demonstrating excellent customer service skills
- Understanding of legal regulations including DEA drug enforcement policies and USDA guidelines applicable to veterinary practice
- Previous kennel experience or equine experience is a plus but not required; a passion for animal husbandry is essential
