Bighorn Veterinary Service is seeking a veterinary receptionist. The practice is a long term established practice of 30+ years with a wonderful steady, stable client base, while continuing to add new clients. The clinic is located in the beautiful mountain community between Conifer and Bailey, Colorado. The practice is family owned and the care provided has an extremely personal touch. It is mixed animal, with the greatest percentage being predominantly dogs and cats. Full-time position averaging 34-38 hours/week. Some Saturday availability is needed on a rotating basis.
Duties include interacting with clients and patients; scheduling and patient check-in and check-out; performing invoicing and follow-up calls. As the initial and final contact that a client has with our clinic, people and phone skills are mandatory. Proficient computer skills, organizational skills, and efficiency are necessary. Previous veterinary experience and knowledge of medical terminology is a bonus, however we will train the right candidate. Some animal handling will be involved.
