Brown Veterinary Clinic is look for a Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and have great organizational skills, as he/she will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals. In this lively role, you’ll manage appointment scheduling, client communication, and administrative tasks while supporting the overall well-being of our furry patients. Your positive energy and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment that fosters trust and care for pets and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly and efficiently check in and out patients, ensuring a smooth flow of appointments.
  • Answer multi-line telephones
  • Handle medical collections accurately, processing payments
  • Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and manage the clinic’s calendar to optimize daily operations.
  • Maintain thorough client records, including medical history updates and treatment notes.
  • Assist with kennel management by coordinating pet boarding, feeding schedules, and comfort care.
  • Support veterinary staff with animal husbandry tasks such as feeding, grooming, and basic restraint when needed.
  • Communicate clearly with pet owners regarding treatment plans, medication instructions, and post-visit care.
  • Manage laboratory documentation and assist with basic diagnostic procedures to support veterinary critical care efforts.
  • Ensure aseptic techniques are followed during sample collection or minor procedures to maintain a sterile environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in veterinary reception or administrative roles within animal healthcare settings is preferred.
  • Familiarity with veterinary terminology, animal anatomy, and restraint techniques enhances your effectiveness in this role.
  • Kennel experience or pet care background demonstrates your ability to handle animals confidently and compassionately.
  • Experience working with diverse animals such as dogs, cats, and small exotics, or other species is highly valued.
  • Strong communication skills combined with a proactive attitude will help you excel in a fast-paced environment dedicated to animal health and client satisfaction.

Pay: $17.00 – $19.00 per hour
