Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service and support to pet owners while ensuring the smooth operation of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for animals, excellent communication skills, and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, providing a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
Process payments and handle billing inquiries professionally.
Assist veterinary staff with basic animal care tasks as needed.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred; dental office, medical office or previous scheduling experience is considered.
Knowledge of animal anatomy, behavior, and basic medical terminology is a plus as it can help with triaging client concerns.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude is a must.
