Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Veterinary Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for clients and their pets. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of veterinary terminology, and a passion for animal care. In this role, you will manage front desk operations, facilitate client communication, and support veterinary staff to ensure smooth clinic functioning while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Greet clients and their pets with warmth and professionalism
- Answer multi-line phone calls and schedule appointments
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Process payments and maintain accurate medical records
- Communicate with clients regarding appointments, prescriptions, and follow-up care
- Coordinate with veterinarians and technicians to ensure smooth daily operations
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
Qualifications
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer and phone skills
- Positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn
- Experience in a veterinary or medical office is preferred but not required
