We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary practice. Your passion for animals and ability to multitask will ensure a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for veterinary services.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries efficiently.
Assist veterinary staff with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and inventory management.
Educate clients on proper pet care, including vaccination schedules and preventive health measures.
Ensure the reception area is clean, organized, and welcoming for clients.
Skills
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with both clients and staff.
Experience in animal handling, ensuring comfort and safety for pets during visits.
Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices to assist in emergencies when necessary.
Understanding of aseptic techniques to maintain a clean working environment.
Knowledge of laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine is a plus.
