Job Description: As the first point of contact for our clients, the Veterinary Receptionist plays a crucial role in ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. You’ll be responsible for managing appointments, answering phone calls, providing information to clients, and helping to keep the office running smoothly. A love for animals, compassion for pet owners, and excellent communication skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Greet clients and their pets with a warm, friendly attitude.
Schedule and confirm appointments, managing the clinic’s calendar.
Answer phone calls and emails, and respond to client inquiries regarding services, appointments, and pet health.
Maintain client and pet records, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
Process payments, insurance claims, and manage billing inquiries.
Assist with maintaining a clean and organized reception area.
Handle administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and preparing client paperwork.
Coordinate with the veterinary team to ensure smooth patient flow.
Qualifications:
Previous experience of at least 1 year in a receptionist or customer service role is required.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Compassionate, patient, and a love for animals.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general office equipment.
Knowledge of veterinary terminology or experience in the veterinary field is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 36 per week
