Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. Your passion for animals and strong communication skills will be essential in creating a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.
This part-time position is a 2 day work week with 1-2 Saturday mornings a month required.
Essential duties and Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer care.
Greet clients and pets by name.
Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of the waiting room and reception area.
Restock products as needed.
Receive all incoming phone calls from multiple lines, Triage calls.
Schedule appointments.
Use computer software system to accurately and efficiently search for information.
Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states.
Check in clients and discharge patients.
Provide excellent client education
Prepare invoices, process payment transactions.
Monitor Client flow from check in to discharge.
Copy and fax or mail patient records at client’s request.
Reconcile cash drawer and deposit funds daily.
Close out and record credit card and third-party payment option charges daily.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. Some college preferred.
Must be able to safely lift 40 pounds unassisted.
Basic math and writing skills
Willing to learn new techniques and take direction with constructive criticism well.
