Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary clinic. This role requires a love for animals and an understanding of veterinary practices to ensure a smooth experience for both clients and their pets.
Duties
Greet clients and their pets warmly upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, pet care, and appointment scheduling.
Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all information is up-to-date.
Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail.
Assist veterinarians and technicians with administrative tasks as needed.
Provide information on pet care, preventive health measures, and available services.
Handle laboratory samples and assist in maintaining cleanliness in the reception area.
Skills
Knowledge of veterinary terminology to communicate effectively with clients and staff.
Experience in animal handling, including dogs and other pets, ensuring comfort during visits.
Understanding of animal husbandry principles to provide accurate advice to pet owners.
Ability to assist with veterinary critical care situations when necessary.
Proficiency in using office equipment and veterinary management software.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact positively with clients.

Pay: $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
