We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Veterinary Practice Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our hospital. This energetic leader will ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care, streamline administrative functions, and foster a positive environment for staff and clients alike.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in veterinary healthcare and team supervision, with a passion for animal health and well-being. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations, managing financial processes, and enhancing overall practice efficiency to support our mission of providing outstanding veterinary services.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Financial Leadership: Monitor hospital performance, manage budgets, oversee payroll and financial operations, and drive business growth through data-informed decisions.
- Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient workflow, maintain regulatory compliance (OSHA, DEA, VMB), manage equipment and inventory, and implement hospital policies and procedures.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with external vendors for medical supplies procurement and manage inventory levels effectively.
- Strategic Direction: Collaborate with leadership to develop and execute long-term goals, expand services, and support referral and business partnerships.
- Project & Facility Management: Lead day-to-day operations, scheduling, and maintenance while aligning administrative functions with overall hospital objectives.
- Client & Community Engagement: Oversee marketing strategies, resolve client concerns, enhance client experience, and foster retention and growth.
- Team Leadership: Manage and support veterinary technicians and client service representatives, oversee hiring and development, maintain staffing levels, and promote a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
Schedule, benefits and compensation**:
This is a full-time, salaried position and schedule flexibility is required based on business needs.
- Compensation: $65,000-75,000 annual base salary*
- Bi-annual bonus opportunities: Based on hospital performance*
- CE allowance: up to $700 based on credentials

Qualifications
- 3+ years of leadership, business management, or operations management experience required.
- Veterinary hospital leadership experience required
- Previous veterinary experience (e.g., Veterinary Technician, Veterinary Assistant, or Client Service Representative) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree, Certified Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
- Experience managing budgets, staffing, scheduling, and day-to-day operations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Proficient with business software and able to adapt quickly to new systems.
