Position is open to aspiring practice managers or short term management experience. We will be able to provide training on site with our extensive area manager who has immense experience running multiple veterinary practices.
Universal Pet Hospital is a brand new full-service animal hospital.
We provide superior veterinary care services, including wellness, surgical, and emergency care, to the pets and clients in our community 6 days a week.
At Universal Pet Hospital, we take care of our team members as well as our patients and clients. We do this by providing our team members all opportunities to grow professionally along with the practice.
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Veterinary Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in animal care and management, ensuring that our team provides the highest level of service to our clients and their pets. This role requires a passion for animal welfare, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to lead a team effectively.
Responsibilities
Manage the day-to-day operations of the practice, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality patient care.
Supervise staff, including veterinarians, technicians, and support personnel, fostering a positive work environment.
Oversee scheduling, inventory management, and financial processes to maintain operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with veterinary regulations and standards of care.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance practice performance.
Provide training and support to staff on animal handling, care protocols, and customer service practices.
Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
Collaborate with veterinarians on patient treatment plans and critical care situations.
Experience
Proven experience in a management role within a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
Strong knowledge of animal anatomy, handling techniques, and laboratory procedures.
Familiarity with veterinary critical care practices, including animal catheterization and restraint methods.
Experience with equine care is a plus but not required.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and staff.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
