More about the Role:
Reporting to the Regional Director of Operations, the Practice Manager manages all essential business functions in veterinary practice and supports the practice teams. The Practice Manger works in partnership with the Managing Doctor (MDVM) to ensure successful practice operations, high client satisfaction, and to manage practice teams. In collaboration with the MDVM, the Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring profitability of the practice, growing the business and all the while protecting the practice legacy. The critical focus areas to drive the desired success fall under the following umbrellas: Practice Operations, HR, Marketing, Strategic Planning, and IT Management. The Practice Manager must be a strong people manager, possess great business acumen and enjoy leading and developing a team. Additionally, ensure the practice has engaged and productive teams that are driving high-quality patient care and exceptional client service. Vet med experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the veterinary practice, ensuring compliance with all regulations and standards.
Manage staff schedules, training, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
Coordinate patient care by working closely with veterinarians and support staff to ensure high-quality service.
Maintain accurate medical records and oversee the use of veterinary terminology in documentation.
Implement and monitor protocols for laboratory procedures, aseptic techniques, and animal husbandry.
Ensure proper handling of animals during examinations and treatments, including dog handling and animal catheterization.
Manage inventory of supplies and equipment necessary for clinic operations.
Develop client relationships through effective communication and education regarding pet care.
Address client inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Previous experience in a veterinary practice or similar environment is required.
Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, laboratory procedures, and veterinary critical care practices.
Experience with equine care is a plus but not mandatory.
Skills in dog training and handling are highly desirable.
Proficiency in animal husbandry practices is preferred.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques is beneficial for maintaining clinic standards.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients and staff members.

Pay: $45,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
