Duties
- Oversee daily clinic operations, including patient management, staff scheduling, and administrative workflows
- Manage financial aspects such as budgeting, medical billing, and fiscal management to ensure profitability and sustainability
- Supervise healthcare staff including veterinary technicians, receptionists, and nursing personnel, fostering a collaborative team environment
- Ensure compliance with health regulation policies such as HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and OSHA requirements
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems to maintain accurate medical records and manage patient information securely
- Coordinate with medical administrative support to streamline patient flow and optimize customer service experiences
- Monitor clinic performance metrics and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven supervisory experience in a healthcare or veterinary practice setting with strong team management skills
- Extensive medical office management experience including familiarity with Sheperd
- Knowledge of healthcare management practices including billing, coding, compliance, and utilization management
- Hands-on experience with medical office software like Microsoft Office Suite for reporting and communication purposes
- Background in managing teams within clinical environments that require acute care or critical care experience is highly desirable
- Strong understanding of health regulation policies such as HIPAA and JCAHO standards for healthcare facilities
- Demonstrated ability to handle financial management tasks including budgeting and managing managed care contracts
