Overview
VETERINARY NURSES – Let’s do it differently Jobs in Saint Petersburg, FL at Veterinary Emergency Group
Full Job Description
Hi!
Veterinary Emergency Group opened it’s newest Florida Location in February and we are GROWING! The new building is nearly 8,000 sq feet of thoughtfully designed space to create a very different type of emergency experience. We are looking for per diem nurses ( about 10) to help us in times of need and to bring on as our next full time VEGgies when the opportunity comes and if you are willing. Our Per Diem shifts open when we have PTO or need additional hands on weekends, holidays, or busy shifts. They are optional and offer you flexibility to earn additional cash and learn what VEG is all about with minimal commitment.
If you’ve heard of us, you know we’re the ones that keep people and pets together and let the pet owners be a part of the treatment process. I know… I had the same concerns when I came to VEG. What do you do when you have a fractious pet? What do you do when you have a fractious owner? Don’t they get in your way? Don’t they ask too many questions? etc etc.
The answers may surprise you. Customers are actually so much nicer to us when they see the talent it takes to care for their pets. They understand wait time because they can see it. The pets are calmer, I walk in and not a single pet is barking because it’s anxious away from its owner…honestly I’d never go back. It’s not perfect, but its real close.
Now what’s in it for you? An amazing work place for starters. We work to give our VEGgies an even better experience than our customers. That means unlimited CE, an on-site nurse trainer, a zen room, fully stocked kitchen, and the most incredible team.
You can be a part of something new and exciting from our earliest days. We’d love to speak with you! Apply and lets set up a time to talk and answer your questions.
A little about me if you care to know
20 years in Vet med – GP, ER, Specialty and Surgery
8 Years in the military where I flew helicopters for the US Army
In 2017 I launched a training facility to train veterinary assistants who were on the job trained and didn’t have resources to go to school. I put 67 students, over two years, through a rigorous 10 month training program and then sent them back to their hospital better equipped to treat their pets. Covid shut us down, but the timing was right and I found my dream job in VEG.
I love people and I love my job. My commitment to you is to take care of you, so you can take care of people and their pets. I hope to hear from you soon.
