We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Nurse – ER to join our emergency team. This role is central to delivering patient‑centred care, supporting veterinarians, and ensuring the highest standards of treatment and safety for animals and their families.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide urgent triage, patient handling, monitoring, and resuscitation support.
- Administer medications, calculate dosages, and prepare patients for surgery.
- Collect diagnostic samples, perform imaging studies, and monitor anaesthetics.
- Ensure patient comfort, hygiene, and basic needs are met with empathy and care.
- Assist in surgery, discharge patients, and communicate after‑care instructions to clients.
- Maintain infection control, clean and maintain equipment, and uphold hospital hygiene standards.
- Support invoicing, reporting, and accurate patient records in the PMS system.
- Manage stock levels, drug supplies, and controlled drug registers.
- Provide product knowledge and advice on animal health products and pet food.
- Collaborate with veterinarians, nurses, and support staff to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
- Diploma in Veterinary Nursing (or an equivalent qualification from your country of origin) OR a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a veterinary clinic/hospital.
- Strong clinical skills in emergency care, patient monitoring, and surgical support.
- Excellent communication skills with clients and referring veterinarians.
- Commitment to infection control, safety protocols, and professional standards.
