Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for pet owners and their beloved animals, providing exceptional customer service while managing the front desk operations of our veterinary hospital. Your passion for animals and strong communication skills will help create a welcoming environment for both clients and their pets.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a friendly and professional atmosphere.
Schedule appointments and manage the clinic’s calendar efficiently.
Handle medical collections and process payments accurately.
Maintain accurate patient records, including medical history and treatment plans.
Answer phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information regarding services offered.
Assist in laboratory tasks and with patient care as needed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Provide support to veterinary staff during examinations and procedures.
Educate pet owners on proper animal care, including nutrition and training tips.
Manage inventory of supplies and ensure the reception area is organized and clean.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
Previous experience in a veterinary or animal care setting is preferred.
Familiarity with medical collection processes.
Knowledge of animal anatomy and veterinary critical care practices.
Experience in dog training or handling is a plus.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written.
A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing high-quality pet care.
