Position Overview
We are currently looking for a Veterinary Hospital Attendant to join us at ARH Canberra for our busiest time of the year to assist our dedicated teams of Vets and Nurses in keeping the hospital clean and tidy and ensuring our patients receive the best care possible. This role is Full-time Monday to Friday, 6am – 2pm.
To be successful in this position you must possess the following attributes:
A friendly, team player attitude
Able to work autonomously when required
Able to work comfortably in a fast paced environment
Strong communication skills
Ability to take initiative and prioritise tasks to suit the needs of the hospital
High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Duties Will Include But Not Be Limited To
Cage cleaning and re-setting
Walking, feeding and watering patients under nurse instruction
Maintaining cleanliness of hospital areas, including floors, throughout the day as required
Daily laundry upkeep
Cleaning of patient dishes
