This externship provides veterinary students with practical experience in an independent equine practice, understanding daily hospital operations.
Students will work alongside veterinarians and interns in areas such as lameness diagnosis and treatment, client communication, reproductive care, surgery, emergency medicine, imaging, ambulatory services, dentistry, and preventive medicine. Assistance with outpatient and hospitalized cases during business hours and emergencies is also available.
Externships are open to current veterinary students of any class year, with a preference for fourth-year students.
Students in the clinical phase of their education may be eligible for a travel/living expense stipend. Contact for more information.
