Bay area Pet Hospital is privately owner 24/7 emergency hospital located in beautiful Traverse City. Our team is committed to providing exceptional urgent and critical care in a collaborative, supportive environment where technicians and assistants play a vital role in patient outcomes.
We are currently seeking an experienced full-time overnight Licensed Veterinary Technician or skilled Veterinary Assistant to join our emergency team. This schedule consists of three 12-hour shifts per week, offering excellent work-life balance while working alongside experienced emergency doctors and support staff. Weekends and holidays will be required. Up to $5000 sign on bonus for qualified candidates.
Position Responsibilities
* Provide attentive nursing care for hospitalized patients
* Assist with emergency surgeries and urgent care procedures
* Support emergency veterinarians during critical cases and treatments
* Provide Client and Team communications
* Maintain accurate treatment records, billing, and patient monitoring
Our emergency veterinarians are present in the hospital at all times, providing continuous support and collaboration for patient care and team development.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is dependable, self-motivated, and passionate about emergency medicine. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm under pressure are essential.
Experience and proficiency in the following areas are strongly preferred:
* Peripheral and central line placement
*CPR/CPCR
*Urinary catheterization
*Nasoesophageal feeding tube placement
*Drug calculations
*Emergency and phone triage
Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a highly collaborative team.

Starting compensation will be determined based on experience, and credentials
