Role Overview:
As a Doctor’s Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless operation of our hospital during your shift. Working closely with attending veterinarians, your responsibilities will include:
Formulating accurate medical estimates and treatment plans
Discussing treatment options and cost estimates with clients
Crafting concise and informative medical case summaries
Dispensing medication prescriptions and providing clear discharge instructions to clients
Requirements:
The ideal candidate should possess:
In-depth knowledge of veterinary medicine, animal behavior, and hospital procedures
Strong communication skills to effectively manage client interactions in diverse situations
Proficiency in veterinary software systems such as SmartFlow and EzyVet, with basic to advanced computer skills
Ability to review patient treatments and charges, update clients on their pet’s status, and discuss financial matters
Basic math skills for drug calculations
Minimum of one year of experience in the veterinary field
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
