Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Veterinary Doctor based in Mumbai. The Veterinary Doctor will be responsible for providing high-quality medical care and treatment to animals under the organization's care. This includes conducting health check-ups, diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgical procedures, administering vaccinations, and ensuring proper animal rehabilitation. The role also involves collaborating with animal welfare teams and educating the community about animal health and welfare practices. small animal experience preffered.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing, treating, and assist surgeries for animals
- Experience in animal welfare, care, and rehabilitation
- Knowledge of vaccination schedules, parasite control, and preventive veterinary care
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for community outreach and team collaboration
- Ability to work effectively on-site and manage emergency situations
- Graduate degree in Veterinary Medicine (BVSc or equivalent) and a valid Practicing License
- Experience with non-profits or animal welfare organizations is an advantage
- Compassionate, dedicated, and passionate about animal welfare
