westford veterinary emergency and referral center is seeking an experienced full time veterinary criticalist to join our 24/7 emergency and referral hospital in westford, ma. as a veterinary criticalist with us, you’ll enjoy a three-day work week with a competitive base salary plus production earning potential, all while being part of a supportive team that celebrates success and focuses on delivering innovative medicine.
work schedule
- three 12‑hour shifts per week, mostly 8a-8p inpatient; rare receiving or overnight shifts as needed to support the schedule.
responsibilities
- provide advanced medical management of critically ill and injured patients.
- develop and oversee icu services, workflows, and standards of care.
- serve as a consultant and clinical leader for the er and specialty teams.
- establish evidence-based icu protocols and quality assurance measures.
- lead and support icu staff training, mentorship, and team development.
- guide equipment selection and implementation of advanced critical care technologies.
- collaborate with hospital leadership on service growth, staffing, and strategic planning.
- deliver compassionate, clear communication with clients during complex and high‑acuity cases.
- this role combines hands‑on critical care with program development and leadership in a collaborative, high‑volume specialty environment.
compensation & benefits
- salary: $225,000 – $260,000 (based on experience)
- $50,000 sign‑on bonus

requirements
- board certified (+/- or boards eligible) in emergency and critical care
