Good Samaritan Pet Doctor is looking for a full or part-time assistant with experience in the customer service and veterinary field.
Good Sam is a busy surgery and dental practice located in North East Omaha. We are excited to welcome a positive, friendly support member to our team!
Please see below for a list of potential job duties:
Customer Care (clients/community veterinarians/public perception)
Maintain a professional appearance (clothes and attitude)
Attentive to customer needs and perceptions
Identify and work compassionately with customers in various emotional states
Work patiently and creatively with distressed, frustrated or disgruntled customers
Animal and Technical:
Help with caring and monitoring animals during surgery and observation and care of animals after surgery
Aid in providing nursing care for injured or ill animals
Help prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and kennels
Assures that monitoring and support equipment such as anesthetic machines, cardiac monitors, and breathing apparatus are in good working condition
Facilities and Janitorial:
Assist with cleaning and maintaining kennels, cages, and runs as needed
Assist with clinic laundry
Clean and restock exam rooms, treatment, and surgery areas
Clean and stock public and human spaces in the clinic (bathrooms, break room, offices)
Responsible for general cleaning duties including bathrooms, offices, reception spaces, and animal kennels
Organize, maintain, and utilize public spaces to be professional, clean, functional and client centered.
Candidates must possess good critical thinking and problem-solving skills, compassion, a positive attitude, follow- through and excellent communication and teamwork skills. Multitasking and accepting constructive criticism is essential. Punctuality is required.
